Storia
Gianluca Brugnerotto è un designer Italiano, laureato al Politecnico di Milano in Design del Prodotto Industriale e in Yacht and Vessel Cruise Design con Lode all’università di La Spezia.
Ha un approccio tecnico funzionale al Design, coniugando dettagli di stile ai più adatti materiali e meccanismi in funzione del progetto.
Ha una lunga esperienza nel mondo della nautica, lavorando fin da giovane come skipper su imbarcazioni a vela per poi diventare istruttore e formatore. In questo periodo ha acquisito approfondite conoscenze su impianti di bordo, laminazione e tecniche costruttive che lo avranno poi portato alla passione del Design.
Nel 2013 partecipa a un progetto congiunto in Serbia “Water Living Architecture and Design” dove sperimenta i primi lavori di architettura.
Dopo l’università lavora a lungo nello studio Hot Lab di Milano dove apprende le più raffinate tecniche di progettazione navale e di sviluppo progettuale digitale: in questo periodo lavora per i più importanti cantieri navali e professionisti dell’industria della nautica.
Nel 2019 lascia lo studio Milanese per iniziare la propria attività individuale ed aprire GB Design Studio. Da questo momento iniziano collaborazioni con grandi studi di progettazione e consulenza, ma anche grandi aziende multinazionali. Tra questi Dragoni Design Studio, Hot Lab, Bormioli Pharma, Pibiplast, Marimar, Harken, Steeler Yacht.
Dal 2019 ad oggi, GB Design Studio ha lavorato su più di 60 progetti di Yacht Design, ha depositato 7 brevetti registrati di Prodotto Industriale e terminato decine di cantieri edili.
Attualmente Gianluca affianca la progettazione industriale a quella navale, l’architettura, la produzione di Render, grafiche digitali e la manualistica specializzata.
Gianluca Brugnerotto is an Italian designer, graduated from Politecnico di Milano in Industrial Product Design and in Yacht and Vessel Cruise Design with honors from the University of La Spezia.
He has a functional technical approach to Design, combining style details with the most suitable materials and mechanisms according to the project.
He has extensive experience in the nautical world, working from a young age as a skipper on sailing boats and then becoming an instructor and trainer. During this period, he acquired in-depth knowledge of onboard systems, lamination, and construction techniques, which led to his passion for Design.
In 2013, he participated in a joint project in Serbia, "Water Living Architecture and Design," where he experimented with his first architectural works.
After university, he worked for a long time at Hot Lab studio in Milan, where he learned the most refined naval design and digital project development techniques: during this period, he worked for the most important shipyards and professionals in the nautical industry.
In 2019, he left the Milanese studio to start his own individual activity and open GB Design Studio. From this moment on, collaborations began with large design and consulting studios, as well as large multinational companies. These include Dragoni Design Studio, Hot Lab, Bormioli Pharma, Pibiplast, Marimar, Harken, and Steeler Yacht.
From 2019 to today, GB Design Studio has worked on more than 60 Yacht Design projects, filed 7 registered Industrial Product patents, and completed dozens of building sites.
Currently, Gianluca combines industrial design with naval design, architecture, Render production, digital graphics, and specialized manuals.
